We're gonna need a bigger house
"We're gonna need a bigger house", I say to my husband in the best rendition of Roy Scheider (Jaws) I can do. We moved into our home here in Sarasota almost 3 years ago. At the time we surely figured this home would be big enough for the two of us and any children, if we would be so lucky. Needless to say, we were lucky, doubly lucky. We have literally have converted our family room into a playroom and moved our family room into the living room. Which works out quite nicely because we have all the twins toys, games, videos etc. corralled into one nice section of the house. Which by the way in all total, including the nursery and baby's bathroom is over a 1/4 of our entire house. Things were running pretty smoothly until this Christmas. You see, as most of you know, as your children get bigger so do their toys. Joe got a Black & Decker workbench for Christmas this year Gabrielle got a sit-and-spin they both got Radio Flyer tricycles (which will eventually go out into the garage). Storybooks, a doodle mat, tea set, so on and so on. Where are we going to put everything? Now keep in mind they already have a circus tent, two rocking horses, a toy box, an armoire for their TV and videos, a table and chair set, a storage bench, an easel, every "little people" set you can imagine, two electronic cars (thanks Auntie Mer) and an adult rocking chair (mommy has to have a spot to sit). And to make things worse....Their birthday is in 17 days, and get this, tomorrow I pick up Gabrielle's Pottery Barn play kitchen. Their playroom is busting at the seams already. "We're gonna need a bigger house".
